Riot Games has officially released the console versions of Valorant, the free-to-play 5v5 tactical first-person shooter previously available only on PC. Now, players can enjoy the full version of the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, following the recent open beta that garnered valuable player feedback.
Available for free download on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, Valorant initially launched for PC on June 2, 2020, and has since become a significant force in esports. Competitions continue to take place globally, with teams from various countries, including national teams, representing their regions in intense matches.
Valorant Now Available on Consoles
Arnar Gylfason, the production director of Valorant, shared insights into the game’s transition to consoles: “After our limited beta access, we are thrilled to present the full version of the game. We received invaluable feedback from players during the beta phase and are committed to providing the best experience for console users. Console players can now join PC gamers in the same thrilling competitive atmosphere and are poised to step into a world of fierce competition.”
Valorant features a fundamental 5v5 game mode, enriched with a competitive structure that includes various modes. Players can engage in ranked matches or enjoy other modes for a fun and competitive online gaming experience.
Valorant is currently available for console players in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, and Brazil. While console players match with each other, those on the PC platform are not included in this cross-play arrangement.
