Recently, a new error known as VAN 185 has been identified in Valorant. In this article, we will explore how to resolve this issue. Each Valorant error comes with a specific code, which is very useful when contacting the support team. The VAN 185 error emerged in 2024 as a new issue reported by various players. One Reddit user mentioned encountering this problem while fixing the VAN 1067 error. For some players, this VAN error appeared after updating their Nvidia drivers to version 555.85.

The VAN 1067 error is related to the game crashing due to specific cache issues in TPM and VGC. Currently, there is no dedicated section for the VAN 185 error on Valorant’s official support page, indicating that this problem is new. Therefore, there is no clear indication of what causes this error or how to fix it precisely. However, the simplest method we found to resolve the VAN 185 error is to restart the Valorant client.

Follow these steps to restart the client:

Refresh your system.
Go to the bottom right corner and right-click on the Riot Client.
Click on "Exit."
Press the Windows key on your keyboard or click the Windows logo in the bottom left corner.
Search for the Riot Client and click on it to launch the application.

If the same error persists after restarting the client, you can uninstall Riot Vanguard and Valorant, then reinstall the latest versions of both software. Additionally, you can seek help from the Riot Games team by submitting a ticket on the Valorant support page.
